At ThermaLuxe Wellness, we work closely with Dundalk LeisureCraft and our logistics partners to ensure your sauna is delivered safely and efficiently. Please review the following responsibilities for each party involved in the delivery process.
Dundalk LeisureCraft Responsibilities
- Builds and securely packs your sauna in a crate.
- Arranges shipment to your home.
Trucking Company Responsibilities
- Contacts you to schedule a delivery appointment.
- Delivers your sauna curbside or to the end of your driveway (not inside or up the driveway).
Important Notes:
- The trucking company does not unload the sauna from the truck.
- They will not back the truck into your driveway.
- Most deliveries are made with an 18-wheel truck. Please ensure this size vehicle can access your street or neighborhood.
Liftgate Use:
- If your crate is under 92” (7 feet), a liftgate may be available to assist with unloading.
- Crates over 92” will not have a liftgate, and you will need to plan for unloading accordingly.
Customer Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to the trucking company to schedule your delivery.
- Arrange for the unloading of the sauna crate from the truck.
Crate Information:
- Length: 6 to 14 feet
- Weight: 800 to 1,600 pounds, depending on sauna size
Suggested Unloading Options:
- Use a forklift (with extensions) from the end of the crate.
- Rent a tilt tow truck to pick up the sauna from the local terminal and deliver it to your home. (The rental of a tilt tow truck can be arranged on your behalf for additional charge.)
- Have a team of helpers available to unload the sauna directly from the truck.
In Case of Damage:
- If the crate arrives damaged, you may still accept the delivery, but:
- Take clear photos of the damage.
- Note the damage on the Bill of Lading (BOL) (e.g., “Crate arrived open/damaged – possible hidden damage”).
- Contact your dealer or Dundalk immediately so we can file a claim with the shipper.
